Mr. George Rivas is recognized as one of the nations leading experts in healthcare regulatory compliance, with a career that spans over 20 years in providing quality training and consultation for highly successful survey outcomes. Mr. Rivas possesses dynamic personal and presentation skills that have earned him national recognition and high honors as a public speaker educator and consultant. He has demonstrated his progressive expertise nationwide for various healthcare institutions including profit, non-profit, public, private, military, long term care and behavioral health facilities.

Mr. Rivas established his professional competence as Director of Safety and Security for several Chicago area hospitals and later served as the chief of the Fire Department for Edward Hines VA Hospital. Mr. Rivas is a graduate of Southern Illinois University where he acquired a BS in occupational Safety and A.A.S. in Criminal Justice.

Mr. Deabler has over 38 years experience in healthcare. He has held the highest executive positions at several institutions, and been a team leader, surveyor, and preceptor with The Joint Commission. Before joining TSIG, Mr. Deabler was the CEO of Health Quality Consultants in Concord, North Carolina; CEO of Littleton Regional Hospital in Littleton, New Hampshire; and Director of SKMT Hospital in Lahore, Pakistan where he was responsible for building the country's first comprehensive cancer treatment center. LeRoy has a BA in Economics from Ohio Wesleyan University, and a MHA from Columbia University. He is a member of over a dozen professional associations, and has served on the faculty at Dartmouth Medical School, The University of New Hampshire, and Rowan Cabarrus Community College.

Mr. Lyons has over 20 years experience working at hospitals in engineering and safety. During that time he has held the position of Director of Facilities Management at North Shore University Hospital at Forest Hills and St. Charles Hospital and Rehabilitation Center in Port Jefferson, New York. He was the Assistant Director of Engineering at South Nassau Communities Hospital, and the Lead Engineer & Fire Safety Officer at Syosset Community Hospital as well. Tom has a BS in Occupational Safety and Health Engineering from Columbia Southern University, Certificates in HVAC and Building Automation, Facility Management, Construction Project Management, and Hi-Rise Fire Safety from New York University and is a member of the NFPA, ASHE, and HESGNY.

Jeff has over 17 years engineering experience in hospitals. During that time he held the position of Director of Engineering, Plant Operations, or Facilities Management at St. Mary's Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, NY Community Hospital of Brooklyn, Calvary Hospital in the Bronx, New York, and North Shore University Hospital at Forest Hills. He holds a BS in Marine Engineering from the US Merchant Marine Academy, an MBA from Dowling College, and is currently completing study for a law degree. Jeff is a member of the NFPA, ASHE, HESGNY, and AEE.

Mr. Mills brings over 22 years CAD and CAFM experience to the TSIG healthcare team. His extensive experience in design, drafting, and engineering gives him the ability to coordinate all work the healthcare team does as it relates to electronic and paper drawings, as well as maintenance of the filing system. He maintains and updates CAD standards and procedures, trouble-shoots all CAD related problems, coordinates CAD protocols for every project, improvises new CAD technologies (electronic laser measuring devices and Palm technology) and works on improvement of production by adding new features to CAD. He is thoroughly conversant in the use AutoCAD 14R and above, Archicad 6.5, and Aperture.

Mr. Anthony Montalbano has over 25 years experience in managing facilities and plant operations with the healthcare setting. Anthony is a physical plant specialist with expertise in building systems, utility and safety management, environmental control, plant operations and quality management. Mr. Montalbano is an expert in The Joint Commission Environment of Care and Life Safety standards as well as New York State Title 18 and Article 28. Anthony has prepared numerous organizations for successful Environment of Care Surveys and has outstanding knowledge and application of NFPA 101 Life safety Code. Prior to jointing TSIG, Mr. Montalbano served as the Director of Engineering for Bellevue, overseeing the operations of a 2 million square foot campus and the integration of said services with other New York City Health and Hospital Corporation departments and facilities. Anthony has an outstanding reputation for the development and implementation of compliant Engineering, Life Safety, Utility Management and Emergency Preparedness written programs and effective processes.

Mr. Bhimani joined Wank Adams Slavin Associates in 1995 after many years of experience in the Office of Space Management at Cornell University Medical College, and with Gensler and Associates Architects where he was involved in information management systems and facilities management. Mr. Bhimani is actively involved with the development of Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) applications, which provide a visual environment for assessing and managing facilities and facility related information such as lease management, space management, asset tracking, occupancy information, and government compliance. He is now the Senior Vice President of Operations for TSIG Consulting, Inc. and manages CAFM, CADD and Technology projects for the firm.

Ralph Heiman started TSIG Consulting Inc. in 1993 as a division of Wank Adams Slavin Associates where he was the Managing Principal and a member of the firm since 1962. In 2000, TSIG became an independent company of which Mr. Heiman is the President. TSIG specializes in Condition Assessments, Computer Assisted Facilities Management (CAFM) Facilities Reports and Statement of Conditions (SOC) for hospital accreditation.

His experience is based on planning and project management of academic, health related and commercial facilities and on various contracts for governmental agencies. In addition, he provides professional assistance with the development of long-range planning and building condition assessment for major universities. During his tenure as President of the New York State Association of Architects in 1984, he concentrated his efforts on the improvement of relations between state agencies, public benefit corporations and private sector architects. Mr. Heiman has been instrumental in the development of TSIG Consulting Inc. and is the company's first president.

At TSIG Consulting Inc. Mr. Heiman Provides direction for the company, motivation to the staff, direct client involvement for certain projects and indirect assistance on all other projects.

Ken Gregory possesses over 21 combined years of consulting, management, and general maintenance/ engineering, construction management/ safety, regulatory compliance, communications, environmental services, biomedical services, emergency management, hazmat, fire safety, utilities, safety and security in healthcare facilities.

His consulting role has included assisting healthcare entities throughout the country with regulatory (TJC, OSHA, CMS, etc) preparation including performing mock surveys, documentation review, continued readiness programs, etc. He has provided in-depth education to hospital staff, contractors, engineers, and architects around the country as related to hospital physical operations, fire safety/ codes, emergency preparedness, and environment of care readiness.

Prior to commencing his consultant role, he was Director of Support Services for a 124 bed acute care hospital. His areas of responsibility included Director of Physical Plant, Bio-Med, Communications, Security, Safety, and EVS Liaison, as well as serving as Safety Officer and Chairman of the following in-hospital committees; Environment of Care, Safety, Security, Life Safety, Utilities Management, and Indoor Air Quality. He was also Supervisor of Facilities Engineering for a 648 bed acute care hospital.

Mr. Henry Saunders has over 25 Years experience with construction and maintenance of Healthcare Facilities. As a former Director of Electrical Operations for a 600 bed facility and later promoted to the Manager of Plant Operations, Henry has extensive experience in the electrical engineering and life safety needs for healthcare facilities. His professional expertise in Utilities Management, Electrical Distribution and Emergency Power Generation has proven him an outstanding consultant, committed to meeting the needs of clients through effective process improvement and successful survey outcomes as a result. Henry has significant knowledge and experience with all aspects of the Physical Environment including: Environment of Care, Emergency Management and Life Safety. Henry has successfully prepared hundreds of Statement of Conditions and numerous reviews of construction plans, infection control assessments and developed measures, Interim Life Safety Measures, various risk assessments and updating of Life Safety drawings. Henry is a former U.S. Naval Air Traffic Controller (Ops Specialist and EW) and attended Saddleback College. Henry has several years of active participation and extensive training with NFPA- Life Safety Code. His professional affiliations are with both NFPA & ASHE.

Barbara joined TSIG in 2009 as a Compliance Specialist. She has nearly 18 years of experience in healthcare having worked as a Compliance and Commissioning Manager in a Multi-Hospital Organization and as a Regulatory Compliance Consultant. Her past experience includes 22 Environment of Care Joint Commission Surveys, Engineering project management relating to compliance, construction and commissioning, development of policies and procedures, educational training and management of the Environment of Care and Life Safety codes. Barbara has a thorough knowledge of the Environment of Care and Life Safety regulatory Codes and Standards.

Barbara's areas of experience include Environment of Care, Life Safety, CARF, Behavioral Health Risk Assessments, Infection Control Risk Assessments, Interim Life Safety Measures, Statement of Conditions, Emergency Management, and Hospital Facilities Engineering Management.
